I noticed that yesterday's 10-second preview of today's 90-second teaser trailer for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was viewed almost 3 million times on YouTube in less than 24 hours. So I have a feeling today's debut of the full trailer will attract a little bit of attention.

I haven't see any of the TWILIGHT films or read any of the books so I know nothing about this movie other than I think David Slade was an interesting choice to direct (assuming they let him actually direct the film). I'll spare you my commentary and perhaps lame jokes at the shirtlessness of Taylor Lautner, the brooding of Robert Pattinson and the complete ambivalence of Kristen Stewart and just get out of the way while you scroll past this text and watch...you're already down there pushing play aren't you?!

Guys do you fail to realize that this movie was pretty much made in less than a year??? I don't care WHO directed it, it's going to be garbage. It looks the same as the others. God help me with this crap, I can't believe this is good to people. I'm a male, and I thought Transformers was shit, so can't use that excuse on me for females. This is lowest common denominator tween porn.

I've learned my lesson about saying anything nice about Twilight here, but I really didn't seen anything so horrible about this clip. I think everyone is protesting a little too much about something that's not relevant to them. I won't lie; I'm excited to see what David Slade did.

A solution to twilight. Make it vs predators
I say forget the books. Do a twilight meets predators movie. Have the preds scalp the vamps and make a trophy out of the werewolves. That will make for a good movie plus a happier ending for all of us in the end.

Exploiting "stupid" people for money has its advantages... mainly, making money. But that doesn't change what the product is. Obviously, with the bar so low for the story-telling quality of these kinds of films, and audiences having been trained to lap it up, it'll continue to work. Why the fuck did any of us bother going to school and having our papers graded if shit like this makes this kind ...

Yeah, perhaps not dumb; but 14 year old teenage girls who are the fans, are not interested in a plot, only the tension and the triangle love story being told. The antagonist says it all; a young, pretty , redhead girl. That is a fearsome opponent.

But perhaps we should blame the author of the books, not the films.

With that said - the films apparently are a financial success. So they aren't that stupid.

I know the movie will be terrible but they could have at the very least made a decent trailer.



It starts off with the soft, retarded "Fuck me instead of him" lines and then the score and tension builds up mid-way showing what looks to be the first actual tough looking vampire of all three movies. Then just when you're expecting some big action/fight scenes to show up, it simmers...
