The Golden Globes winners!

01.17.2011

The Golden Globes were handed out in Los Angeles last night and what did they tell us? Well... mostly nothing. They proved Ricky Gervais is hilarious (maybe too hilarious for Hollywood, given his 2nd half disappearance) and they proved that the Globes are almost always going to play it safe. If you were in a Golden Globes pool, I don't know how you're going to pick who won, because pretty much everyone you'd think was going to win, won. Perhaps the only modicum of surprise came when Paul Giamatti won Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for BARNEY'S VERSION, a film that just came out here in the US. But who were they gonna give it to? Johnny Depp??

Below you'll find a full list of winners (THE SOCIAL NETWORK led the charge with four total awards) plus a look at Ricky Gervais' monologue. And with those two things (and these red carpet photos from Movie Hotties you have all you really need to know about last night's Golden Globes. Next stop: Oscars!
