The Hangover Part III keeps with tradition and picks a city as wild as Las Vegas or Bangkok

It has already been reported that THE HANGOVER PART III will "change the format and setting that was used in the first two films," and part of what that means may have been revealed with the scoop that PART III will film in three seperate cities.

The first is LA, which is no doubt the location for the mental hospital which houses Zach Galifianakis' Alan at the start of the story.  Shooting will then move to Las Vegas followed by a jaunt, and here's the "wild city" bit, down to Tijuana.  Which leaves the door wide open for just about any shenanigan you can imagine.

The Wolfpack will be back and once again severely dehydrated on May 24th, 2013.

Extra Tidbit: In one of the rooms we created a mock jail, explained a marketing manager who helped organize Hot Tijuana Nights. We hired models to arrest people, and then their friends had to take a tequila shot to get them out of jail.

If they were smart, they'd have spaced them out more.

Part II was an inevitable follow-up, but after its dour response from audiences they should have taken a few years off - come up with a really good idea, waited, let some anticipation build up again. What made the first movie great were the characters - the setting, really, was sort of irrelevant, and the filmmakers don't seem to "get" that. As with any comedy of this sort, people grow nostalgia for the characters as time passes. That's why in a way it's good that ANCHORMAN 2 has taken so long

That's why in a way it's good that ANCHORMAN 2 has taken so long to get off the ground, because when they come back for more, audiences will be happy to embrace them - it's like revisiting old friends, whereas Hangover's two-year-gaps are basically overkill.

DareDevil -- Scream was a horror franchise not renowned for its characters as much as its of-the-moment satirism, and American Pie 4 made more internationally than any other film in the series. The difference there is that the originals were aimed squarely at a demographic that is now like the characters in the film: married, working jobs, raising kids. In other words, not the kinds of people rushing out to theaters. The movie earned a decent amount domestically, but look for the chunk of its

The movie earned a decent amount domestically, but look for the chunk of its U.S. business to be done via Redbox and on-demand services. The Hangover from its start had a more diverse demographic (look at the statistics from the first two - it reached 17-year-olds and 60-year-olds) - so the chances of it doing big business a few years down the road is much greater than an of-its-era film like American Pie.

What made the first one work so well, IMO, was the character dynamics between these guys. You really could have done anything with the sequel so long as you extrapolated on that. It didn't need to be about three guys waking up in a crazy city with no recollection of the night before.

So if they're shaking things up this time and not just doing a retread...I have hopes.

I think the concept for the 3rd one is funny as hell, and it would make sense for Alan to end up in a mental hosptial. Yes I also liked the 2nd one, it wasn't exactly the same as people have said.
