Doctor Strange Scott Derrickson Benedict Cumberbatch

Three months after blowing our minds with the first trailer for their upcoming cinematic adaptation of the DOCTOR STRANGE comic books, Marvel Studios has released a second trailer, one that gives a look at even more of the jaw-dropping visuals director Scott Derrickson (DELIVER US FROM EVIL) has in store for us.

The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange,

an acclaimed neurosurgeon who uncovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions after a near-fatal car accident, showing audiences corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe never before explored.

Derrickson wrote the screenplay with his SINISTER collaborator C. Robert Cargill, working from a story they crafted with Jon Spaihts (PROMETHEUS).

Cumberbatch's co-stars include Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Scott Adkins, Amy Landecker, and Mads Mikkelsen.

DOCTOR STRANGE is aiming to deliver something a little different within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it definitely looks like Derrickson has more than lived up to the challenge. I wouldn't have thought I'd get quite as excited for a Doctor Strange movie as I do for Marvel's other properties, but after seeing these trailers I can't wait for November 4th to roll around so I can experience this film on the big screen.
