You may have noticed that there haven't been any new editions of the JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat for the past month. Well, there is a reason for that. Frankly put, the chatroom f**ked up. The good news is that it's back up and running better than ever! To celebrate the chat returning from the grave, we are going to chat about a movie that features two titans of terror that return from the grave. This week, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of Freddy vs. Jason!

It's been nearly two years now that yours truly began hosting The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat every Sunday night at 7pm EST. We've chatted about a ton of amazing flicks in that time and you better believe we are going to talk about a ton more! It's a fun chance to talk about the movies we love with many like-minded movie fans. It's the best place on the internet to do so.

All you need to do is head to OUR CHATROOM at 7pm EST and make sure to log in with your MFC username and password. You are encouraged to bring up comments or questions about the movie at hand, or feel free to just hang out and and see what everyone else is chatting about. The regulars are extremely friendly people that will definitely make you feel welcome. And believe me, they are very, very cool schmoes.

And please remember this. Be respectful of others and their opinions during the chat. It's great to have multiple opinions of movies in the chat. I love that. What I don't love is for people to be insulted or badmouthed about their opinions. It's meant to be fun. Directly insulting someone and/or trolling people will get you kicked from the chat.

Freddy vs. Jason took a long time to make it to the big screen and if you ask me the end result was definitely worth the wait. The fact that they were able to blend two franchises as well as they did is one hell of an accomplishment. Personally, I can sit down and enjoy this movie as much today as I did when it released ten years ago.

Join us this Sunday night at 7pm EST as we talk about the history, the legacy and the blood-filled carnage of Freddy vs. Jason!

Love LOVE this film. I was so excited when I saw this in theaters and to finally see Freddy AND Jason on the big screen for the very first time.

Wish we could have gotten a sequel.

Ya they could have taken this franchise to some great places. Freddy & Jason vs Ash vs Micheal Myers etc etc etc. Could have been good fun but...no.

I really don't know why they didn't make a sequel.

The first made enough money to warrant a sequel, and they could have easily got more familiar faces involved to make a sequel bigger and better. I mean for goodness sakes, we're already at an Expendables 3.

Exactly! Why aren't movie studios just....get along and make a sequel. They can throw in the "Vs" mix : Pin Head, Chucky, Ash, Mike Myers, Leatherface.....or even Ben Affleck

If there was any way for these franchises to bow out before their inevitable crappy re-boots, I'm glad this was it.

I really enjoy Freddy Vs. Jason even though it seems to focus more on Freddy. Nevertheless, see both of them slug it out at the movie climax is just awesome.
