The Late Late Show's James Corden joins Ocean's Eight cast

01.12.2017

James Corden: funny man, carpool karaoke extraordinaire, and host of The Late Late Show with James Corden will be splitting his time between playing up to the night owls that tune into his variety talk-show program and joining the cast of Gary Ross’ spin-off, OCEAN’S EIGHT, for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures. Alongside celebrity royalty like Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter, Corden will act as an insurance investigator who becomes skeptical of the assembled group of lady thieves.

This news comes as no surprise seeing as Corden’s star-power is well on the rise after being courted to host the Grammy Awards, next month, and contributing to a series of films in recent times.

If you’re finding that you just can’t get enough of this dude, you can check Corden when he lends his vocals to Sony’s THE EMOJI MOVIE … or don’t. Honestly, you might be better off catching his late-night show or just enjoying a series of clips of the charismatic personality as he sings tunes with the likes of Michelle Obama, Madonna, Mariah Carey, and an army of other notable talents.

OCEAN’S EIGHT is expected to sleuth its way into theaters on June 8, 2018.

Extra Tidbit: Wow! This movie has got one hell of a cast. Is there anyone you would add to the group? Let us know in the comments section below.

I would rather have Stephen Colbert or better yet Conan O'Brien.

When he first took on thenlate night role, i was skeptical in that, he was a performer, and i want to see him act (whereas Jimmy Fallon was 1 step away from being Chris Kattan and luckily found the hosting gig to salvage his career)

So i am.glad to see he is still doing legit acting work.

Looking forward to this one... Bullock and Blanchett in the same movie!

Yeah, he's really great at laughing at his own jokes, which is why a lot of Brits can't stand the guy. He's alright sometimes, but he's on board the anti-Trump train and can't keep his name out of his mouth, like EVERY tv personality. It's annoying. And no, I did not vote Trump. I'm just sick of hearing about the guy. Let it go. It's over.
