This second trailer for Judd Apatow's semi-sequel to KNOCKED UP puts the focus squarely on Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. THIS IS 40 looked to be the typical Apatow schtick in the previous trailer, but this one looks better. Maybe it is because I am married with a couple of kids, but I can relate to taking four dumps a day so that I can catch up on my tablet.

We also get our first glimpses at John Lithgow and Albert Brooks. Brooks, who is playing Rudd's father, seems like he has a pretty substantial role in the film. We also get a nice shot of Megan Fox and her lovely bewbage.

Check out THIS IS 40.

Plot: Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann are reprising their characters of husband and wife from Judd Apatow's KNOCKED UP in a new story by the writer-director-producer. Many of the character details are being kept secret but it is understood that Ryan Lee will play the son of Melissa McCarthy, a mom at the school that Rudd and Mann's children attend.

There is a lot of hate out there for Apatow placing his wife in all of his movies. I personally don't have a problem with Leslie Mann. Sure, her voice can be a little annoying, but she plays her roles well. She seems more like a real person that a lot of actresses out there, albeit a perky, thin, pretty, rich, blonde person.

THIS IS 40 opens in theaters on December 21st, 2012

Has to be better than Funny People at least, glad to see using Sandler was just a one-off for Apatow.

Gotta say... It looks a lot better than the last trailer.

This one actually looks funny, and smart... and endearing. If this one succeeds in all the places "Funny People" failed, Apatow might actually be up for some awards... I never thought I'd live to see that day.

Always liked Leslie Mann

She's a talented enough actress that Judd Apatow casting her in his movies is more about good taste than nepotism.

PAUL RUDD

Looks like a really fun, toilet humor (literally), mixed with smart humor, class and more depth. Great cast and well, i could watch Paul Rudd read the phone book.
