The PEANUTS teaser was unveiled earlier this year, showcasing an art style that was akin to a moving painting. Producer (and son of Charles Schulz) Craig Schulz promised the optimism and charm prevalent in classic Peanuts cartoons, and I'm happy to say it looks like the first trailer delivers just that. Here we actually get to see what Snoopy imagines when he's flying around on top of his house like a maddog.

While I'm not inherently against computer animated pictures and they way they look, most of them seem to be cut from the same aesthetic cloth.  Frankly, that can get a little old. PEANUTS looks fantastic and definitely stands out amidst the animated crowd. More importantly, it doesn't appear to be catering to today's pop-culture sensibilities and falls more in line with classic Peanuts. Looks great to me!

PEANUTS currently has a release date of November 6, 2015.
