The scoundrels come out to play in Solo: A Star Wars Story character posters

I've kept my expectations surrounding SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY in check, but the more we see from the upcoming Ron Howard film, the more I'm starting to believe that it could be a lot of fun. I've got a…good feeling about this? The STAR WARS spin-off will find Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) teaming up with a crew to pull off a dangerous heist, and Disney/Lucasfilm have released a fresh batch of character posters which actually showcase some of the supporting characters, such as Val (Thandie Newton), Rio (Jon Favreau), and Dryden Vos (Paul Bettany).

Check 'em out!

Not bad, but neglecting to give Joonas Suotamo credit as Chewbacca is a little upsetting. Sure, they're going to for whole "Chewbacca as himself" angle, but Suotamo, as well as Peter Mayhew before him, puts in a lot of work in order to properly bring the beloved Wookie to life, so what's the harm in a little poster credit? I suppose he didn't get a medal either, so I guess this isn't a huge shock.

The official synopsis for SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY:

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY will hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
