I haven't caught up on The Strain since – oh geez – the first episode of season 1. But now I deeply regret letting that time slip by because this promo for season 3 looks downright sensational. It's humans vs. hordes of vampires in a devastated New York. I can't say I expected this series to go full Walking Dead, but the stakes are high as hell and the effects look great. Let's do this! Season 3 picks up with:
New York City as a battleground. Written off by the federal government, the people of NYC must fight for survival on their own. The question is who will win? Humans or strigoi? Meanwhile, the Master is close to executing an irreversible transformation of the world.
Season 3 of the vampire series will star Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Kevin Durand, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Natalie Brown, Miguel Gomez, Max Charles, Ruta Gedmintas, Rupert Penry-Jones, Samantha Mathis, and Joaquín Cosío.
The season will premiere on FX at 10PM on Sunday, August 28th.
