The Walking Dead and Hannibal get new teasers for their upcoming mid and season premieres

February is going to be a good month for television. The traditional month of sweeps means premieres of new episodes of shows that have been on a Christmas hiatus and mid-season premieres of returning series. Two shows I am excited to see are THE WALKING DEAD and HANNIBAL, both of which released new teasers touting their upcoming episodes.

HANNIBAL wowed audiences last year by being much better than it had any right to be. Featuring surreal imagery, horrifyingly grotesque murders, and brilliant performances from Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter and Hugh Dancy as Will Graham, HANNIBAL will begin airing its second season on February 28th on NBC. The brief teaser does not feature any actual footage from the new episodes but does showcase Lecter preparing an epicurian feast using a human leg.

THE WALKING DEAD's mid-season premiere airs February 9th on AMC. After the balls-out finale that split our survivors as the Governor ransacked the prison, Rick and Carl are forced to survive on their own, but for how long? With fan favorite characters such as Abraham Ford scheduled to appear in the second half of the season, expect some surprising twists and turns in the remaining eight episodes.

New Hannibal Traile was just released

First thing that that has got me eager to watch NBC programming in a while. The Cast is awesome, and I love that everything is pre-Thomas Harris books, so plotlines are wide open.

Not seen Hannibal but from everything I've heard I'm surprised that it's apparently turned out very, very impressively and is apparently the edgiest thing on NBC ever.

It is indeed a very well written and beautifully produced piece of television. I would say it is the most "cable" show on a network right now. It is dark and daring and resists the urge to overexplain itself. First episodes it seemed to lean towards a regular case of the week crime procedural but the main arc of the season is getting stronger very fast.
Highly recommended!

i love both of these shows but i just dont think Hannibal gets the attention it deserves. an incredible show visually and some amazing performances. i was totally dubious when i heard they were adapting Hannibal into a series, but i was RIVETED. and i think anyone pre-judging it like i did would be pleasantly surprised. oh, and watch True Detective.

why would Hannibal cook a persons foot? I would think that would be a throw away part

Can't wait for both of these shows to come back. I know someone who says they have already seen all of season 4 of The Walking Dead. They said a very important person gets killed in this season, but I don't know if I believe them. I think they might be pulling my leg. Their not friends with anyone on the show that I'm aware of. The only way they would have access to more of the show is if they knew an editor on the show or something.

really

30 second ads for 10 second trailers; and then they keep cycling. I get the revenue model... but come on.
