These Man from U.N.C.L.E. clips favor action with a side order of wit
It's been 50 years since the original Man from U.N.C.L.E. show hit televisions, although director Guy Ritchie looks like he's doing his best to keep the charm of period action alive. The film, also taking place in the 1960s, follows CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) as they participate in a joint mission to...well, save the world of course! Three new clips have hit featuring the wit you'd expect from spies of that era.
As with the extended trailer that premiered at this year's SDCC, this movie looks like it has its tongue firmly planted in-cheek, and that's for the best. Of the three clips, my favorite bits were not necessarily the action, but rather when the two leads were trying to one-up each other. It's been a great year so far for spy flicks, so here's hoping U.N.C.L.E. follows suit!
THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. opens on August 14, 2015.
