This new poster for Moonrise Kingdom brings the nostalgic whimsy
Wes Anderson's MOONRISE KINGDOM is set to open the Cannes Film Festival in about a month, and so a new French poster has been unveiled just in time to begin raising awareness of its coming. While similar in layout to the last little piece of advertising wonder that bore the name MOONRISE KINGDOM, this poster brings the whole cast of characters together to charm their way into your heart and wallet.
I love everything about this film. I love the cast and the look and the tone and the plot and the title and the poster font and just... I just love it all. Not to mention how this particular poster actually really brings me back to my own days at summer camp. Not that my life was anything near as quirky of course, but there's something in the attitude and atmosphere of this advertising material that brings a smile to my face and sigh to my heart.
Wes Anderson looks like he may have struck something truly magical with his adventerous exploration of young love - we can see if that's really the case very soon indeed on May 25th.
|Extra Tidbit:||I love that their camp is called Camp Ivanhoe. I have no idea why it's called that, or if there even IS a reason, but I still love it.|
