This new poster for The Amazing Spider-Man stresses the untold story

Spiderman Banner

“The Untold Story” is a definite and distinct hook that has been used to sell THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN from the very beginning.  It’s certainly working for me, so my sincere hope is that this isn’t just a marketing gimmick and Marc Webb and friends deliver on their promise when the movie releases this July 3rd.   Is that too optimistic? Eh, I’ll hope anyway.

But until that reckoning day arrives all we can do is indulge in more marketing.  And so: the Argentinean poster website Cine 1 has scored a new poster and been kind enough to share it with the world, which I have in turn shared below.

*Sigh* If only it were a new trailer…

Amazing Spider-Man poster 4

Plot recap: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is the story of Peter Parker , an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy.  Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy, and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors, his father’s former partner.
