Jason Moore fashioned together a sleeper hit with his directorial debut, PITCH PERFECT. Now he brings two charismatic actresses together for SISTERS. The movie follows two sisters, one very loose and childish (Tina Fey), and the other uptight and divorced (Amy Poehler), throw one last party at their childhood home, which their parents are about to sell. Take a look at the final trailer for the film below.
It’s a ballsy move to stand up to STAR WARS, and this bit of counter-programming will either pay off a decent amount or not at all. I’m more willing to bet on the latter, but you never know. I really enjoy a lot of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler‘s work, but this trailer doesn’t exactly scream something different. I suppose we can all use a bit cinematic comfort food, and you can do a lot worse than watching these two for a couple of hours.
SISTERS will openin theaters on December 18, 2015.
