Thor: Ragnarok reshoots are on the hunt for a few good men

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Marvel studios is making plans to fire up the cameras, once again, for Taika Waititi’s THOR: RAGNAROK, and they needed a few good muscles to get the job done!

Here's the score: Even though the comic book blockbuster's principal photography wrapped in Queenslan, Australia, last October, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution had posted a casting call that asked for a couple of buff dudes to join the fray. For the moment, filming will take place on July 12th and 19th, after Marvel has found some “Caucasian-looking men who are over 18 and between 5'10" and 6’1". The capes and criminals conglomorate says the extras needed to be "very physically fit, with muscular and defined arms."

Well Marvel, don't mind me if I bust out my paper fan and proclaim that, "I do declare!" This is a pretty specific casting call, to say the least. One would imagine that they're angling to find themselves a few Norse-looking behemoths to appear all puffy and swole up on the silver screen.

Needless to say, there's no way Marvel would have wanted my scarred, tattooed frame in their films, but perhaps they dug your particular brand of man meat?  Filming will take place on July 12th and 19th in Atlanta, after the mandatory fitting which was held on June 29th or 30th in Fayetteville.

THOR: RAGNAROK starring Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Hopkins, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban, Cate Blanchett, and maybe even you will touch down in theaters beginning on November 3, 2017
