T.I. joins the cast of Ant-Man

Production started on Peyton Reed‘s Ant-Man earlier this week and Marvel was quick to get us a picture of our thief-turned-hero Scott Lang (played by the lovable Paul Rudd). Recently added to the cast is T.I. In regards to what part he may be playing, that’s up in the air, but given his usually smaller roles in ensemble casts . . . I’m willing to bet it’ll be a smaller role among this ensemble cast.

T.I. has mostly contributed his vocal stylings to various films (almost any dance flick you can think of), but earned himself acting roles on ATL and Ridley Scott‘s AMERICAN GANGSTERS early on in his career. Hey, if he’s good enough for Ridley, he’s good enough for me! No word yet on whether or not Sam Jackson will recruit him for the Avengers.

ANT-MAN aims to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
