Tim Curry returning to the Frankenstein Place for Rocky Horror remake

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Tim Curry is returning to his Transsexual, Transylvania roots for Fox’s remake of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.

Curry (currently age 69) won’t be laced into a corset again to reprise the role he made famous – Dr. Frank N. Furter. However, I have confirmed with the network that Curry will be playing the criminologist narrator, originally played by Charles Gray in the cult film, for Kenny Ortega’s redo.

There has been some question about Curry’s health in recent years, following a stroke he suffered back in 2012. But after making a rare public appearance last year at The Actors Fund’s 19th Annual Tony Awards viewing party, it would appear his recovery has been going well enough that both he and the production are game for making this happen. And while there will be plenty of doubters who shake their heads at the prospect of a ROCKY HORROR remake, having Curry involved in some respect is pretty cool, no matter what.
