Timberlake in Love | Movie News

Justin Timberlake, who worked with Mike Myers on this summer's SHREK 3, will reteam with the comic for his upcoming project THE LOVE GURU. Timberlake joins Myers, Jessica Alba, Romany Malco and Verne Troyer in the Paramount film. Myers will play Pitka, a love guru hired by the owner of a hockey team (Alba) to council her star play (Malco) who's having trouble with his wife and her affair with another player (Timberlake). I don't know what's harder to believe - Alba as a hockey owner or Timberlake as a star hockey player. I can't bust the kid's chops too much cause he's actually been surprisingly good in most of his films so far. The actor-cum-singer will begin work on GURU next month after his "Future Sex" tour winds down. Marco Schnabel will make his directorial debut with the project. For the record, any photos you might see online of Myers as Pitka are horrendously out of date and shouldn't be taken as any kind of indication for what you'll see in the film.

Extra Tidbit: Schnabel started out as a PA on AUSTIN POWERS and now he's directing a Mike Myers film. Not a bad turnaround.
