According to CLASH OF THE TITANS star and blue alien hero extraordinaire Sam Worthington, TITANS isn’t done filming quite yet, despite all the pretty footage we got to see in the trailer. Talking to Hero Complex, Worthington says the film is reshooting some scenes in January, but don’t worry, it’s a good thing.

"We're going to be going back and shooting more scenes for it, they cut loose with some money so we can add to it."

"We're going to be shooting more scenes in January, so we're going to be right up against it -- the movie comes out in March."

When pressed on whether this is really all about making the film even more super awesome rather than fixing some earlier mistakes, Worthington admits it’s a bit of both.

"There were some creaky parts but they are the parts that we knew were creaky and that we knew were going to be creaky going into it. The studio is also letting us add some gods and scenes. And they're talking about making the movie a 3D film."

Hmm, what’s the process for upconverting the 3D these days? I know that something like AVATAR was shot explicitly for 3D, and was instead downconverted to 2D. Will TITANS look bad if they cram some 3D effects in there just to jack up your ticket price?

Extra Tidbit: Is "creaky" Aussie talk for "shitty" or just "shaky"?

This movie looks like a lot of fun just the way it is. That said, if they can make it even more fun by adding some neater parts, well hey, I'll take it.

That said, I think by "creaky" Mr. Worthington really just meant "iffy," like, "We were a little unsure of how this scene would turn out when we went in, and when we were shooting it we still weren't convinced it was all that...

The trailer...
caught my attention. It's a popcorn flick for sure. Not to certain about Worthington though. Avatar and Terminator didn't exactly grab me.

Upcoverting not worth it
After seeing Avatar I am on board with movies being shot in 3-D, but a film that isn't shot specifically for 3D isn't going to have the same effect. It's would be a shame for people expecting a real 3D experience to be mislead by an "upcoverted" movie. Also I don't understand how you can not be impressed by Avatar's 3D, it really blew me away.

I agree, the whole hype of Avatar is solely based on the 3d aspect. It seems that when you have new technology at use, you get away with anything.

whether than worrying about making it 3D, they should worry more about getting worthington some acting lessons. when he wasnt computer generated, you couldve just had a cardboard cutout standing (or sitting) in for him in Avatar.

I've been waiting for 3D to go mainstream since I was a kid (an admitted ViewMaster addict). For those that don't like 3D, there are usually alternate 2D showings of the movie - or, try sitting in a different location if you are experiencing eye-strain. Oddly enough, sitting closer will flatten the parallax, sitting in the back will deepen the parallax - typically. Some movies are different.

I don't really mind the whole 3D craze. It's not like you have to see this or any movie only in 3D. Even Avatar, which should really only be seen in 3D, can be seen in 2D. Getting kind of tired of all the 3D hate.

Kinda looking forward to this...
I've quite enjoyed the few 3d experiences i've had at the cinema so far (Beowulf, Monsters Vs Aliens & Bolt) but it's far from essential to my enjoyment of a movie. The original Clash of the Titans was one of my faves when I was a kid though so I hope they don't screw this up. It's a solid story though so they'd have to try pretty hard to drop the ball on this one. Which isn't to say they...

Apparently they're adding some CGI enhancement to Sam Worthington's face in an attempt to give him some much-needed charisma.

I agree.
So irritated with the constant 3D obsession. It's fine for a gimmick but not for every damn movie.

Ahhh, nothing like the sweet sound of deliberately misinterpreted hyperbole.

good thing they are only adding it to a few movies then. last I checked, Clash of the Titans didn't constitute every damn movie.

Jesus Christ! 2D is fine, even better than 3D. Just leave it be.
