Toby Jones in talks to join cast of Jurassic World sequel

So, whether we like or not, JURASSIC WORLD is getting a sequel. Because, unlike the characters in a JURASSIC PARK movie, the producers of the franchise haven't learned to stop tampering in God's domain and leave well enough alone. Maybe we can have another tag-team dino match at the end, only this time it's Hell in the Cell!

As pre-production ramps up, casting news has started to ramp up as well. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning to star (natch), but none other than Arnim Zola himself, Toby Jones, in in talks to join them. No word yet if he'll play an evil scientist, but one can only hope.

Rafe Spall (that one guy in PROMETHEUS) is also a contender for a mystery role as well.

Now, I wasn't a fan of JURASSIC WORLD (though I know there are many out there), although I'm still up for more dino action (especially if recent reports are true that it'll be darker and scarier). Let's just hope it ditches the "park" angle (I mean, it's called JURASSIC WORLD now for Christ's sake) and have the dinos attack a city or something. Honestly, anything new at all (hell, even that scrapped weird dinosaur-hybrid soldier idea is preferable at this point).

Anyway, JURASSIC WORLD 2, directed by J.A. Bayona (WHEN A MONSTER CALLS), will stomp into theaters June 22nd, 2018.
