Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich has started his next Pixar project, but what is it?
After closing out the feature-length adventures of Buzz and Woody (for now) with the delightful TOY STORY 3, director Lee Unkrich is ready to get going on his next Pixar movie.
Unkrich announced today on Twitter that "Today is day one on my next project. Every day I’ll post a new photo chronicling the journey."
On his tumblr, Unkrich began with posts of a computer keyboard and a healthy looking sammich. Could that be some kind of clue? Will his new Pixar movie be about talking food or something? Or was it just, y'know, lunchtime?
While it will probably be a while before we see anything truly revelatory, at least we know what Unkrich will not be directing -- Pixar's previously announced "Untitled Pixar Movie that You See Inside the Brain" will be directed by Pete Docter (UP), and the "Untitled Pixar Movie about Dinosaurs" is coming from Pixar veteran Bob Peterson. MONSTERS UNIVERSITY, directed by Dan Scanlon, is due in 2013.
