Tracy Morgan returns to a very different Brooklyn in The Last O.G. trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After being released from a 15-year stint in prison due to good behaviour, Tray (Tracy Morgan) returns home and is shocked to discover just how much his newly gentrified Brooklyn neighbourhood has changed. He also finds that his former girlfriend, Shay (Tiffany Haddish) has married an affable, successful white man, who is helping to raise the two kids Tray never knew existed. Wanting nothing more than to connect with his kids, but having neither the money to support them nor himself, Tray falls back on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading on unfamiliar territory in The Last O.G. The upcoming TBS series also stars Cedric the Entertainer as the head of the halfway house where Tray is staying, as well as Allen Maldonado as Tray's cousin Bobby, who helps him adjust to life on the outside.

Although Tracy Morgan has certainly made plenty of appearances in movies and television following the 2014 accident which left him seriously injured and claimed the life of his friend James McNair, The Last O.G. will mark his return to TV as a leading man for the first time since 30 Rock wrapped up. The Last O.G. will premiere on TBS on April 3, 2018.
