Trailer and a poster for Judd Apatow's latest, The Five-Year Engagement

Universal Pictures has just debuted the first poster and trailer for THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT. The film reteams the director/writer duo of FORGETTING SARAH MARHSALL (Nicholas Stoller and Jason Segel) and is of course produced by Judd Apatow (KNOCKED UP, BRIDESMAIDS) along with Rodney Rothman (GET HIM TO THE GREEK).

As you can tell from the title, it stars a couple (played by Segel and Emily Blunt) who keep delaying their wedding after getting engaged. It certainly feels like familiar territory but the trailer has more than a few laughs in it.

THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT opens April 27th, 2012. Are you excited for another Apatow comedy?

Love the trailer, but since when did a producer credit make it an Apatow film? Is that not reserved for the director?

It should be, but out of all of the people working on and in the film, Apatow is the biggest name.

You realize that this happens a lot, especially within 'Apatown', right? "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is a movie he produced, but still considered part of his club. Same for "Bridesmaids".

I don't actually know how you make a good trailer about a wedding that keeps getting postponed. But I like most Apatow/Segel/Stoller movies. And Jacki Weaver is a nice touch.
