Newest trailer for Iron Man 3, starring Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, and Ben Kingsley brings the backup!

The newest trailer for IRON MAN 3 from director Shane Black has arrived, featuring a shit-ton of new footage and dialogue. From Iron Man drones to Mandarin speeches to a half naked Gwyneth Paltrow, the ante has been upped.  It's a quick cut trailer and requires a few watches to soak it all in, but it definitely has a techno-thriller feel to it, which has been the selling point from the beginning.  Oh, and yeah, they've got a Hulk...buster!

Check it out:

Looks pretty sweet, eh?  I love that it feels so much bigger than the previous films, even if they continue to try and sell it as a Tony Stark-centered story.  There's no question that there's a lot going on and I think that will make for a hell of a show.  Hit us back below with your thoughts!

Tony Stark Grows Up: Movie Following Suit

I think what intrigues me the most about an army of Iron Men is how it represents character development for Tony Stark. Remember in 2, when he refused to give the government his technology? Now, after the events since that meeting and especially the emergence of the Mandarin, Stark is working alongside the government. To me, the value of this Iron Man army is in how it pays off the other two movies. Allowing the government to have access to the suit was something Tony Stark resisted, but

Shane Black proves once again what a great writer he is: he understands how to escalate a story.

To you the trailer was 2 minutes. To me it was 10 minutes, because I kept skipping back over certain parts cause it was so good.

Don Cheadle is the man. I would watch a two hour rectal itch cream commercial if it starred him. Boggie Nights, Ocean's Eleven, Hotel Rwanda, The Guard, Flight and Iron Man, to name only a few. Talk about versatility!

Uh....WOW!

I am finding it hard to count just how many trailers made my jaw hit the floor this year. First Man of Steel then it was Star Trek, Dead Man Down, the third Oblivion trailer, even After Earth had a wow factor. Now This! Trailers have gotten really good this year and if half those movies back up what they are selling we are in for a real treat this year on a cinematic front.

Great Trailer But...

This was a great trailer however it is not as good as the first trailer. This trailer shows far too much from the movie. The first trailer did a much better job on that front. Also Ben Kingsley is already epic as The Mandarin. That voice is amazing.

The music was so generic; I'm sure the marketing team used one of those stock songs.
Regardless, this was bad ass! I hope the scene with Pepper Potts in a bra is an indicator that she will be wearing her own Iron armor.

Was gonna see it anyway, but yeah this looks excellent. All the crazy action you want and looks like it might actually have a different tone to the previous films. Kingsley looks to be an unusual villain, but hopefully that'll work in the film's favour.

This looks intense!

Sorry, but Iron Man 2 bored me to death. This however, looks like a worthy sequel. My only issue is the Mandarin's voice--sounds very similar to Bane.

It looks awesome, but one VERY MINOR annoyance.

It looked so very cheesy and stupid when Paltrow was flying through the air because of the explosion, and that it was shown in slow-mo. It looked ridiculous. Her facial expression and what not. I know people will actually make faces like that when they're blown back, but we never see it, thankfully, in slow-motion.

Do the multiple suits at the end of the trailer appear in any of the comic story lines? Do there have to be multiple iron man suits/variants in every Iron Man sequel? Almost as if the studio said, "Hey, one Iron Man is cool, HOW ABOUT FIFTEEN!?!?!" Seems like a little overkill.

No, Tony Stark has only ever had one suit his entire life. He has never built any other suits to use as backups or made variations of it for specific purposes.

Don't take what the fanboys said personally, Chos. If you admit that you don't read the comics, everyone's going to jump all over you unfortunately. From a non comic-book perspective, it really DOES seem like overkill to have 20 suits flying around. But the fanboys won't understand this because I'm sure the comics have a billion and one ridiculous reasons of why this needed to be. So I agree with you, but I'm also sure the movie will have an adequate explanation. Honestly, more suits = more
