Transsiberian trailer

A lot of us have been eagerly anticipating the release of THE MACHINIST director Brad Anderson's follow-up effort, the thriller TRANSSIBERIAN, but since it premiered at Sundance in January, we've heard basically nothing from it. Until today, that is. Today, we have the film's first trailer and though it's not the greatest trailer in the world, the film itself still looks like a winner. In it, Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer board the titular railway and find themselves manipulated into drug trafficking by a ridiculously attractive couple in the form of Kate Mara and Eduardo Noriega and on the run for their lives from a bizarrely accented Ben Kingsley. Click through to check it out. The film's scheduled for release August 1st in New York. Everywhere else? Who knows.

Extra Tidbit: Construction on the actual Trans-Siberian Railway began around 1891.

Looks pretty decent. Unfortunately, another trailer that shows too much of the film. I had to cut it off.

He didn't say it was necessarily, only that it's a follow-up, not a sophomore, effort.

While the promo footage that came out about a year or more back is better, this still looks pretty damn good.

This looks good.

By the way, it isn't Anderson's second film.
