For everything else, there's a Mastercard

Ok, so what's the final answer when it comes to naming the TWILIGHT fandom? I'd like to address them with due respect and apparently "Twihards" isn't the preferred nomenclature, as Walter Sobchack would say.

Anyhoo, good on them for loving that movie so much, Summit Entertainment will gladly take their money again for the same film right before taking it for the second; that's right, you dudes are gonna be stuck with TWO Twilight-dates in a row.

The studio announced it will re-release the film in theaters for one night only -thank GOD- on November 19th before NEW MOON comes out the next day. Be honest meow, who's going to see both?

Stuff like this is pretty common nowadays.
This year there has been several marathons or revisit screening to many previous franchise installment(s) like HARRY POTTER and SAW among others. Generally only movie theaters with digital projectors will show the previous movie(s) via a DVD and just project it on the big screen. I'll be curious if this is a major thing or if only certain theater chains will take part. With TWILIGHT making...

With TWILIGHT making such a huge impact over the past year, something like this makes sense for people who are still new to the insane phenomenon.

twilight (the movie) may not be great but it was a hell of a lot better and made soooo much more sense than any of the harry potter movies. why is this site so anti twilight?

Stop being an arsehole and assuming every woman loves Twilight. Really. There's been too much of this crude generalization already.

I cant wait for this twilight series to run its corse and be forgotten. And remember kiddies, all "real" vampires burn in sunlight like they should.

Now im waiting for a good mummy story to become super popular. :]

So, let me get this “straight”. Some guy commented about the demographic targer of joblo.com and specified that it’s heterosexuals only? Not female? Not gay? Man, I have been a dedicated (every day reader) fan of this site since the end of 1999 (yep. Ten years now) and I am a homosexual. And speaking of which: Twilight sucks. Man, I have been a dedicated (every day reader) fan of this site since the end of 1999 (yep. Ten years now) and I am a homosexual. And speaking of which: Twilight sucks. And that’s my opinion, though I know many straight guys who loved it, and many girls who hated it and vice versa. Being “gay” doesn’t mean being a die-hard fan of chick flicks. And being straight doesn’t mean hating female-oriented films just for the sake of it. It’s a matter of taste. Some people need to get a life. Now, where’s my Sex and the City DVD ?

@n2oop5u, first, I'm not gay. I have 4 children and a wife and no sexual interest in men. Second, I've never read the books but I liked the film. Big deal, so at worst I have poor taste in films, that doesn't make me a homosexual and sorry to tell you this but most people who over react at homosexuals aren't frightened of it, they're frightened of becoming one and having others treat them...

also genius, people loving Twilight didn't bring up the Vampire Diaries. That would be a studio hoping to cash in on the money making, teen horror/romance craze. Plus, what does it matter if someone made a dumb ass TV show?! Is someone making you watch it?! See, you guys get all freaked out about this crap and for no reason. If you don't like it, ignore it. Instead you behave like you're pissed off that someone forced you into seeing something you didn't like. To each their own guys, hell, I've seen several of you who have posted in here fawning over certain films in other threads on this site but you don't see me rolling in there to bash on you for it. IOW, stop being dicks because you get off on it and grow the fuck up.

I won't go so far as to say I feel terribly one way or the other about Twilight, except something about vampires crying (brooding, not feasting on humans, all that's okay). All the same that's probably part of the draw for the girls, that he'd open up like that. Heck, my only real beef (nevermind sparkling in the sunlight) was that nobody was older than forty-five or younger than seventeen. And...

All the same that's probably part of the draw for the girls, that he'd open up like that. Heck, my only real beef (nevermind sparkling in the sunlight) was that nobody was older than forty-five or younger than seventeen. And the romance felt a little forced at times. But Catherine Hardwicke did a good job with atmosphere, and Carter Burwell's music was appropriately haunting.

There is nothing wrong with Twilight, its just a film. so it changed up facts when it came to vampires and it had cheesy romance dialogue. Its hardly the first vampire film to do either of those things and far from the worse to do them. Some people are drawn to the romantic and mysterious aspects of vampires and some like the gore and horror of them. No, its something more with this film...

Some people are drawn to the romantic and mysterious aspects of vampires and some like the gore and horror of them. No, its something more with this film and so called "manly" men. Its called jealousy and homophobia. Other wise, men wouldn't be so incredibly hateful about it and terms like gay, fag and in J. Burton's humorous Freudian slip, dildos, wouldn't come into play in almost every comment made by said "manly" men when referring to it. Most guys are pissed because like with other things that draw the same anger such as boy bands, they feel like they have to compete and nothing brings out sexual orientation assaulting, childish anger like competition over a female. It takes a "real" man to admit to the public that he enjoys something most men lose their marbles about than it does to spaz out like a gay bashing douche bag over it.

This is ridiculous. No one is jealous of Twilight. They're angry because mindless people love to stuff that garbage down their throat. They should be. People loving Twilight brought up that stupid show Vampire diaries and many a sequel. They've nuetered one of the scariest things on the planet! What's next? Are they going to make zombies sexy?

Also, your pretty bullshit with the whole jealousy thing. Women love George Clooney, I'm not jealous. And as for not liking it because we're homophobic, that's probably true for a bunch of people but you aren't helping your case there. If people who are afraid of homosexuality are steering clear of something and you are going head on into it, loving every minute, that says something about your tendencies.

And I didn't gay bash. I was simply calling you gay. Not in a derogatory way, in the definition of it.... that you are homosexual. I call the grass green too, doesn't mean I hate the color, just giving the grass some very obvious context.

Real Men, don't like Twilight.
It's just that simple. Real men, like real vampire films, not this castrated Twilight crap, where the vamps sparkle like bedazzled dildos.

Again, the 1st "Twilight" had its moments of grandiose-for me it was a totally new take on Vampire Lore...I like what I saw in the first film. Interested to see what "New Moon" has to offer.

Sorry DarkElfa, you put yourself out there so don't get upset with the responses. Face the facts though, the majority of Twilight fans are female and a lot of guys are completely turned off by it. Ask yourself what demographic does JoBlo.com aim for and realize you shouldn't be offended.

I thought that JoBlo's demographic was movie lovers which I am. I'm offended that liking any specific film somehow give another member the right to call me a fag.

Most of you are so reactionary towards Twilight it makes me wonder if its not you all that should be checking your parts. See, if you all felt secure, you would just ignore Twilight like every film you care nothing about but with Twilight you guys actually lash out and start showering insults at the movie and its fans. Its like you feel the need to compete with Robert Patterson for your girlfriend's affections or something. Otherwise, why not just ignore it like you would the last film from those Scary Movie idiots and move on, why roll into the thread just to make your masculine insecurities known as loudly as possible? Twilight is just a chick flick fellas. Like any chick flick, it has it's male viewers and you need not be gay to enjoy it so stop trying to compensate or hide behind rude comments to make yourself feel more manly. Oh, and don't try to use the "I'm not gay, the films just suck" approach either because I've seen a lot of sucky film threads and none of you came into those threads and went homo-nuclear on them the way you always do at Twilight. You guys need to grow up and stop acting like 13 year old boys in gym class.

No, you find a girl who has similar taste in movies and date her instead.

The book lost me with the line: "He asked me if I was hungry. I said 'yes' but really, my stomach was already full. Of butterflies." Ack.

You should double check down there, make sure you've still got all your bits and pieces. If you do, take another long hard look and figure out if you're attracted to those bits and pieces. If the answer is yes, then you've just answered yourself a very life defining question, sexuality wise.

The other's response, 'Don't even try to get into since it's a pretty expensive hobby!' Excuse me? And buying Gucci bags and D&G shoes are cheap? My point is, women disrespect us the same way, but as long as it's not personal. It's all in good fun.

You know Tony, there are men who like the series and disrespecting your readership in some cheap attempt to make comedy at their expense is unwarranted. Are you implying that men are somehow not manly if they enjoy the series or that only women would enjoy something as preposterous as Twilight? That says a lot about your view of women as well. Wow, when did JoBlo go from reporting on movies...
