Two clips from Man of Steel featuring Superman, Lois Lane and Perry White

06.05.2013

MAN OF STEEL is now just nine days away from release and anticipation for the film has gone from "Has Zack Snyder been fired from MAN OF STEEL yet?" to "Well this looks promising" to "Cheese and rice, I want this damn movie now!" Personally I wasn't completely sold on the film when it was first announced but ever since the first epic full length trailer was released my need to see MAN OF STEEL has grown each week and each time a new trailer/interview/clip has been released.

Two new clips from the upcoming film have surfaced and both of them come from talk shows. This first clip debuted on Ellen and has Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) chewing out Lois Lane (Amy Adams) for chasing a story that turned out to be just smoke. Gee, I wonder what (or who) her article was going to be about? The homeless problem in Metropolis perhaps?

Amy Adams is out promoting the flick and she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live with a clip from the film, which has some of the footage from the trailers of Lois Lane and Superman (Henry Cavill) talking about his "S" logo. Part of the interview with Amy Adams is after the clip and you can see the other parts of her conversation with Jimmy Kimmel here and here.

Also starring Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Russell Crowe, MAN OF STEEL is in theaters on June 14th, 2013.

I am more excited for this movie than I was for Dark Knight Rises and Avengers combined. This looks to be an amazing story for Superman and finally give the fans a movie for the character that does justice.

Also, Amy Adams is super hot

Ideal Post-Credit Scene

My ideal post-ending credit scene would be to have a scene where lois lane is typing away on her computer alone during the late hours of the night with nobody around writing an article detailing the aftermath of the Supermans victory over Zod and saving the city, suddenly a newspaper with an image of superman is thrown on her desk with a familiar voice behind her saying "new-boyfriend of yours?", Lois automatically recognizes the voice, smiles, but doesnt bother to turn around, she responds

A male figure stands in the shadows leaning against a desk with arms folded. Lois still not tempting to look behind her says "so what brings you back to Metropolis?" and in reply to shadowy figure says "aliens flying around with caps" in which Lois finally slowly turns around and responds "and why would someone like you being interested in people with wearing caps?" and finally Chrisitan Bale as Bruce Wayne steps into the lights and says "because i want to know whats caused my satellite to drop out of the sky" (refering to the confirmed easter-egg of a Wayne Enterprises Satellite being destroyed by Zod in the movie)

That would be a good way to introduce Bruce Wayne again. It's simple yet effective.

For the love of god, not Christian Bale. We need someone whose face isn't so bony.

I can't remember the last time I was REALLY really excited for a film like this. Probably since The Avengers.

Can't believe we are just only a mere 9 days away!

i havent watched any footage of this movie outside the trailers, i want to go in with as little knowlegde of what happens as possible, but i hope they arent avoiding saying Superman, i can almost see them doing that for the whole movie until the end where he is called superman right before the credits role. almost like how Jim gordon called Batman the Dark Knight at the end of the 2nd Nolan film.

I'm really liking the tone of the film from these two clips, and both Fishburne and Adams seem like they'd make for a really good Perry White and Lois Lane. I don't want "grim and gritty", but I do want a Superman I can take seriously - and that looks to be the case with the approach Snyder and co. are taking. There's still a question mark as to whether Clark actually joins the Daily Planet as a reporter in this movie. I sure hope they don't ditch that aspect of Superman.
