Two more join Trek

Being the dimwit that I am, I didn't realize the IESB broke the story of Hemsworth's casting a few days ago. They even have info on the delectable Jennifer Morrison being cast. Check it out HERE.

Clifton Collins Jr. and Chris Hemsworth Two more have joined the cast of the upcoming J.J. Abrams' directed STAR TREK reboot. Omnipresent Latino character actor Clifton Collins Jr. and newbie Aussie Chris Hemsworth have joined the cast of the film Abrams hopes to pull a CASINO ROYALE on. Hemsworth will play Kirk's father, George, while Collins will play Ayel, the right hand man of the film's baddie Nero (Eric Bana). They join Chris Pine as the young Kirk, Zachary Quinto as the young Spock (pictures of which you can see HERE), Simon Pegg as the young Scotty, Karl Urban as the young Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Anton Yelchin as the young Chekov, John Cho as the young Sulu, Zoe Saldana as the young Uhura, Bruce Greenwood as Christopher Pike and Wynona Rider as Amanda Grayson. Production began last week from a script by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Collins can next be seen in the comedy SUNSHINE CLEANING and a hell of a lot more films and Hemsworth can next be seen in the thriller ROOT OF ALL EVIL.

Extra Tidbit: Collins is awesome. Seriously.
