Mr. Mercedes, the AT&T Audience network series based on a trilogy of novels by Stephen King, will be returning for a 10 episode second season later this year, and with a new season will come new cast members. The names of two of these new cast members have now been announced: Jack Huston, best known for playing the role of Richard Harrow on Boardwalk Empire, and Maximillian Hernandez, who you may know as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Agent Jasper Sitwell (pictured above)

Mr. Mercedes is about

a demented serial killer who taunts a retired police detective with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he can strike again.

Several members of the first season's cast will be returning for season 2, including Brendan Gleeson as retired police officer Bill Hodges and Harry Treadaway as killer Brady Hartsfield, along with Jharrel Jerome as Jerome Robinson, Nancy Travis as Donna Hodges, Holland Taylor as Ida Silver, Scott Lawrence as Detective Peter Dixon, Justine Lupe as Holly Gibney, and Breeda Wool as Lou Linklatter.

Huston will be taking on the role of Brady's doctor, Felix Babineau, while Hernandez will be playing Assistant DA Antonio Montez.

David E. Kelley and MYSTIC RIVER / GONE BABY GONE / SHUTTER ISLAND author Dennis Lehane head up the writers room for the series adapation, which they are also executive producing alongside Stephen King, Temple Hill Entertainment's Marty Bowen, and director Jack Bender, who will be at the helm of 8 of the season's 10 episodes.

Mr. Mercedes season 2 begins filming in Charleston, South Carolina next month.
