Two possible villains have signed on to take out John McClane in A Good Day to Die Hard

Apr. 4, 2012by:

Things on A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD are moving along. Jai Courtney (SPARTACUS) was recently cast as Bruce Willis' son. Personally, I was wanting Aaron Paul, but it didn't work out that way.

Now two possible villains have been cast in the film. Sebastian Koch (THE LIVES OF OTHERS) and newcomer Yulia Snigir will play Komorov and Irina, respectively.

The film, set in Russia, will have McClane and his estranged son saving the world from "imminent danger". Currently there is no official plot, just the details given above. John Moore (BEHIND ENEMY LINES) is directing the script from Skip Woods (X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE).

The fifth installment is due out February 14, 2013. Happy Valentine's Day, motherf*ckers.

She seems like a nice girl.

DO. NOT. CARE. This is not a Die Hard. This actually sounds worse than Live Free or Die Hard.

I hope we get a good villian for this film, but it'll be hard to top Hans Gruber. I like Tim Olyphant as an actor, but his villian in the 4th film really didn't seem threatening at all, and the movie suffered b/c of it.

Olyphant's natural charm & wit was wasted on some of the dull characters he had to play in Die Hard 4 and Hitman.

Live Free or Die Hard was so laughable that I was under the impression the studio made this as an effort to attract those looking for a comedy, not fans of the originals. Subsequently, we're getting this which so far sounds like it's going to be pretty bad. The whole father and son team-up to save the world never ends well...

How about setting this movie back in the States? Maybe in New York again. Have Gary Oldman play a dirty NYPD cop with dirty cop henchmen. That'd be a tough adversary for McClane both physically and psychologically. And please, give that man a receding hairline, a five o'clock shadow, a hangover, domestic issues, and a filthy mouth. PLEASE.

A mastermind dude as the villain, with a hot chick sidekick. Willis going around w/ a young kid to save the world. Are they remaking the 4th flick? oh, no, wait, this one is in Russia.

I was determined to say something harsh about this film, but THAT picture TOTALLY made me forgot everything. Thats unfair manipulation, Niki!

The director of Behind Enemy Lines and the writer of Wolverine... they could have saved some money and had this film made by a sticky rubber dildo for all the quality those two talentless hacks bring to the table. Oh well, guess we'll still be waiting for a decent fourth DH film. Give it up, Bruce. I love ya, but this is turning into a farce.

The setting should be...

IN L.A., NAKATOMI PLAZA. HANS IS CRYOGENICALLY FROZEN AND IS REVIVED, NOW SEEKING REVENGE.

I'm not sure why they got "the wolverine writer" to do anything ever again, but why all the hate for Die Hard 4? I grew up loving those movies, and it was all the ballbusting action you could want in a movie. Sadly, it was pg-13, but there were still some creat action sets and badass kills, just less blood and cussing. Yeah, it can't touch DH1, and I still think DH3 is amazing, but it is WAY better than DH2, which is pretty tough to go back and watch. Naked guy practicing tai chi.

Are they even trying?

I am just curious, what has John Moore been doing since BEHIND ENEMY LINES, he must have been creatively exhausted from that masterpiece, I mean how could a producer, a studio, and Willis all think this a has a good shot at being any good, if the script was any good, they could have gotten a pretty decent director, I mean this guy hasn't made one film that I can say is generally considered a good film, not one, so why would this be any different?
