UCLA film class free

Variety editor-in-chief Peter Bart and Mandalay Pictures CEO Peter Guber have been teaching a course at UCLA for many years now.  Because of the overwhelming success of that class, the two got together to write a book.  That book, entitled "Shoot Out: Surviving Fame and (Mis)Fortune in Hollywood" is now available.   What's most interesting however is that they've decided to make their popular UCLA course open to the general public.  If you head to www.shootoutonline.com you can participate in the course just as if you were a UCLA student.  Here's the official word on the project:

"The Global Film School (www.globalfilmschool.com) is pleased to announce The launch of Shoot Out Online (www.shootoutonline.com). Join Hollywood luminaries Peter Bart & Peter Guber and many of the entertainment industry's top players as they bring you an entirely new perspective on the business and art of the cinema. They will share personal insights from their careers that collectively encompass over 65 years of filmmaking expertise. Guests will include Angelina Jolie, Matthew Perry, Brett Ratner, John Singleton, Terry Semel and many more."
