VHS-inspired cover of the book My Best Friend’s Exorcism is amazing!

"… after an evening of skinny-dipping goes disastrously wrong…"

This really is too cool. While we do not usually share news from the world of horror books and novels, other than Stephen King (should we start?), I think every horror fan should see this.

This is the upcoming July reissue cover for author Grady Hendrix's novel MY BEST FRIEND'S EXORCISM, with f*cking perfect art by Hugh Fleming. While I cannot yet comment on author Grady Hendrix's skills within the book, the outside art by Fleming can be dubbed nothing short of "Dude, I f*cking want that!"

MY BEST FRIEND'S EXORCISM is Hendrix's second novel following Horrorstör , and has been described as "Beaches meets The Exorcist" (whatever that means) and takes place during the Satanic Panic (band name) of the late '80s.

MY BEST FRIEND'S EXORCISM synopsis:

The year is 1988. High school sophomores Abby and Gretchen have been best friends since fourth grade. But after an evening of skinny-dipping goes disastrously wrong, Gretchen begins to act…different. She’s moody. She’s irritable. And bizarre incidents keep happening whenever she’s nearby. Abby’s investigation leads her to some startling discoveries—and by the time their story reaches its terrifying conclusion, the fate of Abby and Gretchen will be determined by a single question: Is their friendship powerful enough to beat the devil? Like an unholy hybrid of Beaches and The Exorcist, My Best Friend’s Exorcism blends teen angst, adolescent drama, unspeakable horrors, and a mix of ’80s pop songs into a pulse-pounding supernatural thriller.

The amazing cover below is only for the books upcoming July reissue, but if you just can't wait to read it, following that synopsis, you can buy of of the remaining two copies of the book right now HERE.
