Watch the first promo for Syfy’s Sharknado 3, starring Ian Ziering

The popularity of Syfy’s unlikely hit, SHARKNADO, still blows my mind; not because I’m surprised that people enjoy its harebrained set-up wrapped up in a train wreck of bad CGI sharks, but because most of Syfy’s movies enter the exact same what-the-f*ck territory, yet they get no love. But here we are, three movies deep in a spiraling shit storm of sharks, as Syfy releases the very first promo for SHARKNADO 3: OH HELL NO! Maybe in the fourth movie they'll throw a few Piranhacondas or Frankensfish in there to keep things interesting.

The two-hour original movie will premiere on Wednesday, July 22 at 9/8c.

SHARKNADO 3 will cause mass destruction in Washington, D.C. before roaring down the Eastern Seaboard and into Florida, and stars Ian Ziering as Fin, Tara Reid as April and Cassie Scerbo as Nova. Joining them will be David Hasselhoff as Fin’s father, Gil; Bo Derek will play April’s mother, May; Ryan Newman will play April and Fin’s daughter, Claudia Shepard, and Jack Griffo will portray Claudia’s friend, Billy.

Anthony C. Ferrante is once again directing, based on an original screenplay by Thunder Levin. SHARKNADO 3 is a production of The Asylum.
