Watchmen storyboards

Jan. 23, 2008by: Omar Aviles

Director Zack Snyder has been kind enough to give us small morsels of the world he's created for his stylized, feature adaptation of WATCHMEN at the film's official blog and a couple of days ago, he posted some pretty neat storyboards. Check out one below then click through to check out the others. WATCHMEN opens March 6th, 2009.

A great comic writer Alan Moore may be, but when it comes to others creativity being applied to his work, he's a complete douchebag. Other than his writing, no one has ever had anything nice to say to him. Snyder did an amazing job adapting 300, and I'm crazy excited about watchmen. Dask, go read a batgirl comic if all you're interested in is shitty diologue. Comics are about art too, y'know...

I love Moore.

Zack should go fuck a goat. 300 sucked, but so did Miller's original. And Dawn of the Dead? Ugh! Why would anyone in their right mind try to tamper with something that is flawless? Snyder is an idiot. Go READ Watchmen within the next 14 months and you can see for yourself what a piece of shit this movie is.

Article is bad

Its not a green screen film as such, they use it like King Kong did for their New York set, but its definitely not a 300 or a Sky Captain. Also the film is 14 months away, not 2!

Wrong

This article is inaccurate. "Watchmen" will not be green-screen heavy. Of course, like in "Zodiac" and "World Trade Center", green screen will be used to extend the set and make it look like part of a full city, and it will be employed for Mars and Antarctica, but it certainly won't be like "300".

Also, it opens on March 9 of 2009.

"Green screen heavy?"

I thought they were only using green screen for the Mars sequence? I think most of the film is shot on actual sets.
