Marlon Wayans will star in THE YEAR OF LIVING BIBLICALLY, a comedy about a dude who spends a year trying to strictly obey the rules of the Old and New Testaments, with both funny and enlightening results. Julian Fariano ("Entourage") will direct. Of course, great news that he is out making a comedy that isn't being produced, written, directed, catered, promoted, and edited by family members. And since this is a religion type story and I'd rather swallow my own penis than accidentally instigate religious fury, I'll leave the commentary there and distract you with a dynamite behind.

Oprah
Interesting idea, with almost too much source material.

Didn't someone do this recently by trying to live a year by every single piece of advice ever heard on Oprah? I swear I heard that somewhere.

Just the hypocrisy alone found within the biblical text, depending on interpretation, would make for good comedy. Honestly, I'm surprised this hasn't been done yet. The only potential problem is Marlon, whose comedic chops are hit-or-miss.

I wish it was a completely new take on comedic film but they took the idea... or haven't said that they are actually adapting it from.... a book that came out recently with the same title.... don't get me wrong... the book looks like a great read... so the movie should be a fun watch as well...

I like the idea
Sounds like a completely new take for a comedy film-I like what read here-maybe for ONCE it won't be about societies religious fear phobia of (in this case) Christianity-reading its a mans quest to follow the Bible/Scriptures for a year without fail-GOOD LUCK WITH THAT FELLA! Talk about a "tall order" to follow-lol.
