We only get the tail end of the beast on this new Godzilla poster

Jul. 17, 2013by: Niki Stephens

I think GODZILLA is going for the win at Comic Con this year. The interest level has gone way up as time has passed. Currently they are killing it with the "Godzilla Encounter" which turned out to be part museum part walk through experience complete with a mock up of Tokyo streets and even a ramen shop. You still have to have tickets to check it out. My fellow editor Paul got to check it out first hand, to see pics and details of the encounter head over here.

Legendary just unveiled a rather cool poster for the flick. Still a damn tease! But that builds the anticipation and this is what we want. I've been hearing that if the models of Godzilla that were seen in the encounter are anywhere near close to what the creature will look like then we are going get exactly what we wanted.

THAT'S A HUGE BITCH! Check it out below. GODZILLA with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston and Ken Watanabe will be in theaters on May 16th, 2014.

The Head

I still need to see a face... banging body from what we've seen so far, but she still could be a chicken head

Can't wait!!!

I have been a Godzilla fan since I was a little kid rushing home after school to watch "Godzilla Week" on Ch 7's 4 O'Clock movie in the 70's here in Detroit. I am soooooo looking forward to this film!!! Plus it'll be the 60th anniversary and the first Godzilla film in 10 years since Final Wars.

While I disagree with Masterdebator, I do think this movie is going to be bad. Just not Matthew Broderick bad. What new can they possibly bring to the table. Cloverfield was neat because of the way it was shot, and it was about the survivors, average joes. And here's the kicker, the way studios work know this has franchise written all over it. So you know they won't stop him at the end. They'll subdue him somehow, or think they killed him, then in some after credit scene, they'll show a close

I want to see him get a Jarvis heart replacement the size of a VW while he's on the ice hockey rink/operating table like in the 80s king kong

I like how this version is back to walking upright rather than the more dinosaur-like mode of balancing with its tail.

I'm hoping this movie is good. But let's not kid ourselves. This is similar to the Godzilla poster from the 90's only with a tail instead of a foot. If it used a green hue for the background I would think this was a poster from the 90's, minus the japanese characters.

So excited to see what all of Godzilla looks like. Like when I was really excited to see what the monster in Cloverfield actually looked like.

I'm actually really excited for this one. I enjoyed Monsters and was really impressed with the scale and scope Gareth Evans was able to create on such a small budget. I just hope the bigger cash flow this time around doesn't get to his head and turn into a cartoon like Pacific Rim. The cast is also something to look forward to.

This will be worse than the Matthew Broderick one.

Godzilla looks great, but the story revolves too much around the military. The script reads like a Micheal Bay movie with 'Merica Fuck Yeah attitudes. They should have kept this set in Japan.

Now That's A Teaser

I've never been a big Godzilla fan, nor should I with Emmerich's being the only one really my generation has had. With that being said this has me excited.
