Chris Weitz Nikki Finke over at "Deadline Hollywood Daily" is on a roll with the TWILIGHT sequel news. First she broke the news that director Catherine Hardwicke has had her ass booted off the Stephanie Meyer adapted vampire romantic drama franchise for giving Summit too much lip and now she's reporting that Summit has sent out an offer to Chris Weitz to direct the sequel NEW MOON. He's apparently still considering the offer and may do so if the film and the second follow-up, ECLIPSE, are done back-to-back. Is Weitz the right guy to direct the continuing adventures of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and her vampire beau Edward (Robert Pattinson)? More importantly, who cares?!

I hate it when someone puts down a story he decided to post in the first place. I don't care about this franchise but some people do, and they deserve a minimum of respect. If you can't give that to them, don't post the story. It's as simple as that!

I care!!! I would like a better director and someone with a lot of CGI experience! Golden Compass was not a very good movie, but it did stay fairly close to the book.

I have an idea...
How about we stop writing about it, stop posting stories, stop admitting the fact that such a movie even exists and most of STOP CARING!!! The problem should take care of itself.

WHO CARES???!!!
Well, fans of the book care, because maybe someone can come in and save this franchise. People who aren't fans care because alot of people will end up seeing it anyways. It would be less painless if it were better made.
