Westworld’s Jeffrey Wright joins Jason Bateman for Game Night comedy

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Oh man, I'd sure like to be invited to a good old fashioned GAME NIGHT with Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, and now WESTWORLD alum Jeffrey Wright in attendance. What do you think the game of choice would be? Perhaps a rousing game of Parker Brothers' Clue is in order, or a round of Trivial Pursuit? Perhaps one of us would be kind enough to bring a deck of Munchkin or The Oatmeal's Exploding Kittens cards? Damn, now I really want to make this happen. Pardon me while I use the power of my email contacts to try and arrange this little shindig …

Today, it's been confirmed that Jeffrey Wright will join Jason Batmen, Rachel McAdams, Kyle Chandler, Jesse Plemons, Kylie Bunbury, Lamorne Morris and Billy Magnussen for a mystery comedy entitled GAME NIGHT. Directed and written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, GAME NIGHT centers around a group of couples who gather for their regularly scheduled game night when something goes horribly wrong.

The film is set up as a comedic mystery in which the characters may or may not be who they say they are. Write will portray an FBI agent who attends the party … though who's to say that he doesn't have an ulterior motive for attending the weekly gaming ritual. Dun dun dunnnnnn!

GAME NIGHT begins shooting April in Atlanta and is set for a February 16, 2018 release date.
