What Did You Think? Post your A-Team review!

THE A-TEAM looks like one of those movies you just have to see for yourself. For every review ripping it to shreds (USA Today called it "bloated and boring") another reviews says it's a lot of fun (Coming Soon says it's "exactly the type of fun escapist entertainment we need this summer"). I think it's up to you to decide for yourself and of course we want to hear what you think!

We'll leave the Strike Backs open all weekend so you can post your review below (or check out the new Movie Fan Central updates and post your review on your profile page). Please keep things spoiler-free and remember no flaming or insulting people for their opinion.

To help get you psyched up, take a listen to the extended "A-Team" theme song below. Maybe you can hire...THE A-TEAM!

I enjoyed it much more than most critics and other reviewers were scorning it to be. It had great action, comedy, and chemistry between all the guys. Copley was HILARIOUS. I loved the jab at Hangover as Copley is spinning on the helicopter blade (You spin me right round baby right round...), amongst Braveheart, and my favorite, Blue Man Group. For his first time on screen, Jackson wasn't all that bad. Cooper and Neeson were great as always. As most agree, the villains were, ah, douchey?

Coming from someone who wasn't alive when the T.V. show was popular, yet has seen the occasional rerun, I loved The A-Team. Just got back from seeing it and I'd have to say it was entertaining dumb, cheesy fun and payed enough homage to the show without getting stuck in the past.
However, the villains (espically Pike) were far too obnoxious and over-played.

Full Disclosure: I grew up on the original show and still enjoy watching it from time to time today.

That said, I had a good time with the A-team movie. It was just about exactly what it needed to be: over the top, virtually non-stop action with humor and several nods to the source material.

It had its share of flaws too: At the beginning of the film it almost seemed like they were trying to give the team a new catch-phrase which wouldn't have worked too well, IMO (fortunately they

It had its share of flaws too: At the beginning of the film it almost seemed like they were trying to give the team a new catch-phrase which wouldn't have worked too well, IMO (fortunately they weren't). There's a scene with Face and his ex in an airport that goes on just a bit too long. As Bumbray points out in his review, the villains are a bit weak. I feel that had they been played a bit more straight it would have worked better. And finally, since it's an origin film, they're doing what they do for themselves, as opposed to some oppressed everyman which does make it feel like its missing just a little bit of the charm of the classic show.

But despite those (mostly minor) issues, I still had a great time at the movie with my friends. I'd recommend it if you're looking for some good fun and action that doesn't take itself enormously seriously.

As a side-note, I think I may have an idea why the reviews vary so wildly. Bumbray makes the statement in his review that he used to watch the original show but feel it's "completely unwatchable now". As we all know, he didn't care for the film that much. As I mentioned at the start, I can still watch and enjoy the original. So going into it, if you've seen the original, gauge how you feel about the episodes today and it will probably end up being a good indicator as to whether or not you'll enjoy the movie.

the flick was badass. It had comedy, action and a somewhat cool lovey thing going on. Copely was the best part of the movie, but the whole thing was just overall a fun ride. Definitely recommend viewing.
Copely is going to be huge soon.

Much like the Tv show it was loud, dumb, and somewhat enjoyable.

A for Awesome!

I give this movie a grade of an A for Awesome. It was a great way to kick off the summer with a BANG and the A-team answered it! I'm a huge fan of the tv show and this movie pays perfect homage to it. The acting and action were on beat and kept you wanting more! Rampage couldve done better but he was pretty good for a newbie actor.

This is probably the weakest summer in years for movies. However, I enjoyed this movie. It was great a 2 hour non-stop action, entertaining movie. The cast had great chemistry. Loved Liam Neeson and Sharlto Copley in their roles. Check out this movie if you want to have a great time at the cinemas. (4/5 for me)
