What is Darren Aronofsky doing instead of The Wolverine?

Are you still pretty sad that Darren Aronofsky won’t be helming THE WOLVERINE? Well, that was two months ago! Damn son, get over it! Just kidding. Personally, I think it would have been nice to see what Aronofsky did with the character, setting, etc. but shit happens.

Good thing is, it looks like Aronofsky finally has something new lined up.

The next project for Aronosfky could possibly be HUMAN NATURE. Vulture learned that the director has his sights set on the 15-year old spec script as his next possible film. They also hear that George Clooney is attached to play, “a man who is cryogenically frozen and wakes up years later to a world in which humans have become pets of another species.” WHAT? Is this a fetish? Damn, the future species have us on lock down.

Akiva Goldsman is apparently budgeting the movie, if everything goes as planned, then this project will be locked for Aronofsky.
