What is Ron Burgundy doing with a small child? New set photo from Anchorman: The Legend Continues

Anchorman Feet

Sometimes the problem with set pictures is that you see these images from a movie that is currently filming and you want to know immediately how all the pieces go together. You know you have to wait months until the film is released but because you've had that small glimpse you're chomping at the bit to find out exactly how the film is going to play out.

So when I see this new picture from Fame Pictures Flynet of Ron Burgundy having a quiet moment with a child, a million different questions pop into my head: is that his kid? Are they re-enacting a scene from THE WOODSMAN? Did Ron Burgundy punt that child soon after the photo was taken?

There hasn't been too many confirmed details about ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES but at one point director Adam McKay did mention that a custody battle might be part of the film so there is a possibility that we are looking at the spawn of Ron Burgundy.

Comedy sequels have a long history of not being as good as their predecessors (CADDYSHACK 2, THE HANGOVER 2, GHOSTBUSTERS 2). It's hard as hell to make lightening strike twice with comedies but I think there's a real good chance that ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES can be at least as good as the original.

Starring Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Kristen Wiig, and Harrison Ford, ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES is out on December 20th, 2013.

extra tidbit

Airplane 2
Naked Gun 2 1/2 (and 33 1/3)
Shrek 2
Toy Story 2 (and 3)
Back to the Future 2
Addams Family Values
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

While none of them are clearly better than the first, they are all well worth the time and effort

I have to say that Toy Story 2 is my personal favorite of the trilogy, although all 3 are close in quality.

Extra tidbit: Airplane 2 and Hot Shots: Part Deux - "I LOVE YOU IN WALL STREET!!". That line deserves an Oscar.

It may be awesome but is it better (or at least on par) with the original? No way.

That's all opinion, a lot of people actually like part II a lot. I love both films but I like the second one a little more.
