WHIP IT is Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut and if the recently released trailer is any indicator, this flick could turn out to be a hell of a good time.
Based on Shauna Cross’ novel, who also wrote the screenplay, in the film, Ellen Page stars as a high school outcast who finds she has a talent for beating the shit out of other girls while roller skating when she joins a Roller Derby team.
The great cast includes Barrymore herself, Kristen Wiig, Zoe Bell, Juliette Lewis, Eve, Marcia Gay Harden and Daniel Stern. Check out the trailer below. Page whips it on October 9th.
