New Whiplash look from the comics

What little we've seen yet from Mickey Rourke's Whiplash in IRON MAN 2 suggests there's much more to come, mainly a Mark II design for the character's outfit and weapons.

Director Jon Favreau still has lots of time to tease us with further tidbits from the film, but Marvel itself may have given an advanced glimpse at what the antagonist could end up looking like. Marvel.com premiered the first look at Whiplash from their upcoming 4-issue miniseries "Iron Man vs Whiplash" set for store shelves this November.

Designs never translate perfectly from comics to film, but still, that one looks much better for cinematic purposes that the character's previous S&M look, and suggests what might be in store for the Mickster. Kinda cool, Right?

I find it hilarious dat people seem to think The Wrestler led to Rourke's comeback status, I think the honor would go to Robert Rodriguez who put him in Once Upon Time in Mexico & Sin City and not to mention he worked with Tony Scott in Domino & Man On Fire.

Iron Man 2 will be the shit once it comes out & can't wait.

Wait Wait Wait! Would Mickey Rourke be in IM2 had he not been in the wrestler?!?! In my opinion his performance in Sin City deserved best supporting actor, plus, the sin city role of Marv is prolly more similar to whiplash than randy the ram ramison.. wrestler was a lil overrated, good, but not peter northing on the screen worthy

I like this a lot better than Steampunk Mickey that originally debuted. Not that I hated that, I just like this better.

I KNEW IT.

Like I mentioned in earlier posts, the suit that we've been seeing in bootlegs before this were Rourke's 'early stages'. By the end of this flick we'll see a full-fledged Whiplash with jets and power ammo and super friggin' toast-n-roast em' whips! Shweet!

Whiplash Mark II

The mask seems a bit off, I think it just looks weird because Ironman and Iron Monger had a full helmet mask's that covered the entire head, Whiplash just looks funny with nothing but his face covered an flowing hair, I wonder if there's a WHIPLASH Mark III suit?

Pretty cool, but I bet the live action version will turn out more badass. Still more excited about War Machine though!

I was hoping the other one was just his first suit because it looked ridiculous. This one is pretty cool.
