Who wants a really good look at The Hulk in The Avengers?

Apr. 5, 2012by: Niki Stephens

Me want to see detailed photo of Hulk. Hulk look good. Hulk has had many faces, but still green. Hulk happy.

It's true, though. We've have a few different Hulks. All which have done a pretty decent job in their own right. I recently revisited Ang Lee's HULK, which isn't as terrible as I remember. It was time to put down the elitist attitude and just watch.

I know several fans were upset that Edward Norton would not be returning as The Hulk, but I've always thought that Mark Ruffalo was a great choice.

A new, detailed look at The Hulk arrives via this still from THE AVENGERS. Mo-cap Hulk is lookin' good, I must say.

Check out the still below.

INcredible Hulk..Norton

Let me just say whats been said here a zillion times.. Marvel is sooo dumb to get rid of Norton; because of him I think that movie was my favorite one out of the lead up movies... I would be at least 50% more excited to see The Avengers had it had him in it. He was bruce banner to me

Well, knowing how Hulk looks in the comics, I wonder...
Does Hulk looks like Ruffalo...
OR does Ruffalo looks like Hulk ?
Because, if you read the comics, it's amazingly close !!!

Not Sure What To Think

It just seems like they are having some real issues getting the Hulk completely right. I still don't know why they couldn't go the Hellboy route and have someone play him with digital shots mixed in. CGI just isn't completely there yet so it makes him look cartoonish.

Looks good...

But digital actors are still a whiles away. Cartoony, but good by today's standards.

I'm stoked for this movie, and The Hulk looks great. But his face in this pic screams, "I'm getting too old for this shit."

Green Is Gold

It's not easy being green, says David Banner. But from the looks of it, both Marvel's The Avengers, and Mark Ruffalo's portrayal of the new Hulk looks like pure gold from where I'm standing. A 3rd time lucky perhaps with the Hulk? Most certainly. But one thing's for sure, both of the other versions of the big green guy, although cool in their own rights, must be green with envy at the newest entry into the super heroes world. This new Hulk looks totally awesome! I can't wait to see him destroy

Do you right promotional material for Marvel? This was like reading a catalog description of Hulk. That's not an insult.

Seriously...

I'm sure there are subtle differences b/w all 3 recent versions of the Hulk but all that really matters is that hes 1)Green 2)Big 3)Somewhat resembles his bruce banner counterpart. Stop complaining that he looks 'cartoony'. Its CG, even avatar looked cartoony but as long as the characters interact well with their environment, none of that matters. Other then that, just enjoy him doing what his does best... SMASH!

Plus, the realism of the comic book drawings is difficult to match. It's unfortunate this can't look like the REAL Hulk this movie is trying to emulate.

This movie looks great, but this only looks OK to me. It does resemble Ruffalo, which is a neat trick, but I've never felt that any of the Hulk films or this capture the primal and unrivaled power of the Hulk. It looks fine, I guess.

Is anyone else bummed that there's no plan for another solo Hulk movie after the Avengers like Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Captain America 2?

I think they may change their minds, despite people loving all the other characters so far the fan reaction has been CRAZY good towards seeing Hulk again

I think the Vfx budget would be too much right now compared to the other Marvel franchises.

Give it another 3yrs, probably with another guy.. Gerard Butler maybe?

Avatar-level

quality in terms of realism of Hulk here, he looks just as real and believable as the Na'vi... awesome!

I like

his regal grey hairs. I'd beat. He's just a few hairs shy of becoming Clooney Hulk.

Yeesh. The shots in the trailer look great, but this still is a little too cartoony for my taste.

Not really the model. More the surfacing, rendering, etc. Oh well, I'm sure he'll look great in motion.

I just have this feeling the hulk will be a bit too cliche in this. By that I mean he is an outcast and the avengers are a bit weary of him but then he proves them wrong in the final battle and saves their lives or something along those lines. I hope not!

that's definitely awesome. 10x better than 2003/eric bana. But something about the ed norton one....maybe b/c that hulk had more striations...but i think i like that one a little better. this hulk tho looks like rufalo. so that's cool.

I like Norton as banner, but this is the best looking hulk we've seen yet.
