Will Ferrell & Jason Momoa to star in a comedy from The Grinder creators

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

And the award for the most bizarre news I've reported on this week goes to … the untitled Paramount-acquired comedy pitch for a film starring comedian Will Ferrell and AQUAMAN himself, Jason Momoa

Today, word has hit the internet that the unlikely pair mentioned above are attached to star in a movie about a down-and-out TV star (Ferrell) that reunites with his now grown and very successful TV show son (Momoa). the pitch hails from Andy Mogel and Jarrad Paul who created the now-defunct but totally worth watching comedy show THE GRINDER starring Rob Lowe and Fred Savage. The project will be produced by Nick Stoller (FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL, NEIGHBORS) and Ferrell's production setup, Gary Sanchez.

As you might already know, both stars have movies that are about to hit theaters, with Ferrell starring opposite comedy ace Amy Poehler in THE HOUSE (placing bets in theaters on June 30, 2017) and Momoa readying himself for the role of Aquaman in JUSTICE LEAGUE (smashing down into theaters on November 16, 2017).
