Will Ferrell & John C. Reilly will join forces again for Border Guards

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are teaming up for another movie, and their STEP BROTHERS and TALLADEGA NIGHTS director might be joining them. The duo will star in BORDER GUARDS for Sony, and Adam McKay is interested in directing the comedy.

Ferrell and Reilly will play play "two hapless but earnest friends who decide to give purpose to their lives by protecting America’s borders from illegal immigrants. In the process they find themselves accidentally stranded in Mexico without identification and must sneak back into the USA."

Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and Adam McKay working together again is awesome news, but what has me really excited for this project is Jesse Armstrong will be penning the script for BORDER GUARDS. Armstrong is a fantastic comedy writer who has worked on a few of my favorite British television series (Peep Show, The Thick of It), and helped write the scripts for the films FOUR LIONS, MAGICIANS and IN THE LOOP. Jesse Armstrong also wrote the excellent "The Entire History of You" episode of Channel 4's Black Mirror.

No word on when BORDER GUARDS might start shooting or when it will be released, but I can't wait to see what sort of hilarious chaos Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly will be up to in their new film.
