Will Ferrell is about to become a commander-in-chief all over again.

Having already played George W. Bush for his Broadway show (an impression he first developed during his time on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), Ferrell is moving earlier into the Republican Presidential archives in order to play Ronald Reagan for the previously unproduced Black List script REAGAN.

Written by Mike Rosolio, REAGAN would see Ferrell as the 40th President of the United States at the beginning of his second term. However, beginning to suffer from dementia, an intern is given the task of convincing the President that he is nothing more than an actor playing the President for a movie role.

Last month, following its inclusion on the Black List, a live read of the REAGAN script was performed with Lena Dunham and John Cho, among others, and is said to have gone over hilariously. There's no doubt that some will be less than pleased by the target of said project, but comedy is comedy, right? Nothing is out of bounds if your material is strong enough.
