Will Superman kneel before a shapely Kryptonian villain?

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

There’s been a lot of talk about actresses vying to be the leading lady in Zack Snyder’s SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL. The most recent round named Diane Kruger, Rosamund Pike and the delectable Alive Eve here as candidates, leading to speculation that perhaps Lois Lane wasn’t even going to be in the movie.

But Latino Review says they’ve got it sorted: these ladies are actually up for an entirely different role than Clark Kent’s love interest. Quite the opposite, in fact — the production is looking for a female Kryptonian villain named URSA.

Snyder has stated on record that the movie would not feature General Zod as a villain, but apparently Supes will still have to face off against someone at his power level. Then again, Ursa (as previously portrayed in SUPERMAN 1 & II by Sarah Douglas) is a Zod accomplice, so you can ponder whether we’ll see the megalomaniac himself at some point.

And not to worry — Lois Lane will apparently still be involved with the Man of Steel. Judging by the actresses being sought for Ursa, the production just wants some blond contrast to Superman’s dark-haired squeeze.
