Will you be picking up Men In Black 3 when it lands on Blu-Ray and DVD this November 30th?

Sep. 24, 2012by: Alejandro Stepenberg

Men In Black 3 posterAfter a tumultuous journey through production, MEN IN BLACK was rewarded for its efforts with a worldwide box office of $646 million and medium-to-gently-positive reviews.  While I sincerely anyone's going to be fighting for a MEN IN BL4Ck any time soon, that's still plenty of reason for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to give us a home video release packed with special features and 3D and every which thing.

So if you've been looking to revisit the latest adventure of Agents J, K, and K, look no further.  Dropping just after Black Friday and the start of the Holiday Season, you can find MEN IN BLACK 3 on November 30th in the following forms: Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, and DVD.

"Get ready for a groovy, out-of-this-world 3D adventure when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Canada releases MEN IN BLACK 3 as a Blu-ray 3D™ Combo Pack, Blu-ray™/DVD Combo Pack and DVD on November 30th. Earning more than $624 million in box office worldwide, this sci-fi, action-packed comedy will be released for the first time in 3D for the home. The time-traveling, third installment of the MEN IN BLACK fanchise reunites two-time Academy Award® nominee Will Smith (2007, Best Actor, The Pursuit of Happyness; 2001, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Ali) and Academy Award® winner Tommy Lee Jones (1993, Best Supporting Actor, The Fugitive), along with Academy Award® nominee Josh Brolin (2009, Best Supporting Actor, Milk), as they travel back in time to 1969 so Agent J (Will Smith) can save Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) from an alien assassination.  Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and written by Etan Cohen, MEN IN BLACK 3 is jam-packed with car chases and monocycle pursuits, as the famous, black-suited duo employs a brand-new collection of galactic gadgets to fight off retro aliens. The film also features Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson (1995, Best Adapted Screenplay, Sense and Sensibility), and Jemaine Clement (Despicable Me)."

Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack Special Features:
- Spot the Alien Game
- The Evolution of Cool: MIB 1960’s vs. Today featurette
- Keeping It Surreal: The FX of MIB 3 featurette
- Four Scene Investigations
- Five Progression Reels

Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack Special Features:
All the added value on the Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, plus
- The Case Of Boris the Animal: The 3D Models of MIB 3
- Converting to 3D featurette

DVD Special Features:
- Gag Reel
- Partners in Time: The Making of MIB 3
- "Back in Time" Music Video by Pitbull

And available for a limited time only at select retailers unknown to me at this time, you can pick up the "Men in Black Trilogy Limited Edition Blu-ray Giftset."  It comes with all three movies in the MEN IN BLACK franchise on Blu-ray (in collectible packaging), as well as a “Worm” bobble head figurine.

So which edition will you be picking up? Probably the DVD-only edition, right? Because those special features... damn.

I thought it was pretty awesome considering it barely even had a script. Brolin owned as younger Tommy and loved the story/villain. Sure there's a SHITLOAD of plot-holes but still a very fun movie and way better than the second.

Extra tidbit: I'll wait until there's a 3D TV without having to wear the 3D Glasses. They give me headache.

u got to wait another 5-6 years. The tech is out now, buts it only like a 15' screen and costs like $2,000.
it will take awhile before they get bigger screen sizes and the cost is reasonable

Extra Tidbit

I personally believe that if everyone was given the oppurtunity to watch a 3D movie at home they'd change their minds about it. I have a 55 inch LG 3D TV and i've converted so many of my friends who have never enjoyed seeing 3D movies in theatres. Once they see it in a home setting they love it. That being said this was a decent movie and i'll get it to support 3D movies.

An actual surprise that this movie was any good. But whether I'll own it? Nah.

Cant wait

I stopped going to movies after i bought my SONY 50' 3D. I love this TV. A 3D Home Theater is nothing like the 3D Movie Theater experience. first the Movie theater is a passive 3d technology. Sony uses Active 3d which has a more clean and crisp 3d image. second i have saved so much money by buying my Movies instead of going to the theaters. i always go to best buy where they have a discount on New releases. i get my 3d movies for $22-25. So for $10 more than a movie ticket i can own the movie
